Good afternoon everyone. It’s the weekend again folks, so that must mean weekend subway work. First off, starting tonight, and running continuously through early September, there will be no G-train service north of Nassau Av. Shuttle buses will be running along Manhattan Ave making all station stops between Court Sq and Nassau Av, as well as along McGuinness Blvd making stops near G-line station between Metropolitan Av-Lorimer St and Court Sq. A free out-of-system transfer between the G and J & M lines at Broadway and Lorimer St respectively.
With that Sandy-related service change out of the way, let’s get back to the normal mess. The 2 is still split at 149 St-Grand Concourse with the northern section running express southbound. The 5 still isn’t running past E 180 St. And once again, the E and F are running local on Queens Blvd. New additions this week include the suspension of the N between Queensboro Plaza and Times Square, the R being rerouted via both 53rd Street and 6th Avenue and another shutdown on the Liberty Avenue elevated between Rockaway Blvd and Lefferts Blvd.
As always, check the map for the details. And just a reminder folks, FASTRACK hits the Central Park West line again next week so plan for that.
Enjoy the weekend everyone.
