This weekend marks the beginning of a ten-day project, which will eliminate through service on the Brighton and Culver lines to Coney Island. Starting late tonight and continuing through Monday, December 1, shuttle buses will replace trains between Coney Island and either Avenue X or Brighton Beach on the F and Q lines respectively.
Moving on to the other service disruptions in place, all of the service changes on the numbered lines that were in effect last week are in effect this weekend. That means the following: 4 and 5 extended to Brooklyn via local, 2 and 3 cut back to Manhattan only, no 7 trains west of Queensboro Plaza. The only other major service change in effect will be on the A and C lines. Manhattan-bound trains will run via the Rutgers tubes this weekend, making F-line stops between Jay St and W 4 St. The usual express and local runs are still in place. The map has the details.
Enjoy the weekend.
