Good afternoon everyone. You’re going to want to pay attention to this post because this weekend’s service diversions are a doozy. As you’re probably aware of by now, there will be no L train service between Lorimer St and 8th Avenue for the next five weekends. M train service will be extended to 57 St/6 Av during the daytime and evening hours to bridge the gap in service while shuttle buses provide intra-borough service. This weekend also marks the beginning of station rehabilitation on the Livonia Ave line in Brooklyn. To prepare for the full-time closure of Rockaway and Van Siclen Avs, there will be no service running between Utica Av and New Lots Av on the 3-line all weekend. That’s not all; 1 train service is suspended north of 96 St/Broadway while there will once again be no A trains running on the Lefferts Blvd branch.
Shifting gears slightly, we also have several route diversions in place as well. Per usual, D trains are running with the N in Brooklyn, this time Manhattan-bound. There are a couple of local and express runs on the Queens Blvd line, with Forest Hills and Jamaica-bound trains running express through the entire line in Queens. Also keep in mind the express runs on the Lexington Ave and Brighton lines.
Now that’s everything. Click on the link for the map.
Enjoy the weekend.
