Weekend of Dec. 26th

Good evening folks. I hope everyone had a good Christmas if you do celebrate the holiday. If you don’t, well I hope you enjoyed the day off nonetheless. In celebration of the holiday, there is very little service disruptions in place this weekend. There are a few headaches to contend with though, so it’s not entirely quiet.

First off, D train service is suspended in both directions between Herald Square and the Barclays Center. Service in Brooklyn is express only in both directions with N trains picking up the slack. Secondly, speaking of the N trains, Manhattan-bound service is running non-stop between Stillwell Av and 59 Street-4 Avenue. Finally, Queens-bound N and R trains are rerouted over the Manhattan Bridge, skipping all stops in Downtown Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan. Also be aware of a Saturday-only disruption on the 6-line in the Bronx, which has Pelham Bay Park-bound trains running express from Hunts Point Av onward.

Before we get to the map, I would like to point out the following upcoming long-term service changes. Starting Monday, Brooklyn-bound A trains will bypass 111 Street and 80 Street until the Spring. Also, the elevators at 125 St-Lexington Av will be out of service for most of next year starting January 8th.

That is all. Click on the link for the map.

Enjoy the weekend and the mild temperatures.
