Weekend of Apr. 26th (14 Lines, SIRR Affected)

Good evening everyone. Once again, it’s Friday, the last Friday of the month in fact. And that means weekend work on the rails. Work on the Fulton St and Jamaica lines continue from last week (the last continuous weekend of this particular work). Shuttle buses are replacing train service between Jay St and Utica Av on the A-line while Queens-bound J trains are once again running express from Marcy Av to Broadway Junction. We’ve also got the return of Queens Blvd work. All Queens-bound trains are running express from Queens Plaza all the way through the line.

Moving along, E and F trains are doing the do-si-do between 53rd Street and 63rd Street. All Manhattan-bound trains are running via 63rd Street (E-trains also run via 6th Avenue) while Queens-bound trains are on 53rd Street. If you’re using the 6-line, be aware that every other train bound for the Bronx will terminate at 3 Av-138 St. Also of note is a late addition. During the daytime hours, N train service between 86 St-Gravesend and Coney Island will be replaced by shuttle buses.

Check out the map for all the details, and as always, enjoy the weekend.

Weekend of Apr. 19th (9 Lines, SIRR Affected)

Good evening everyone. Well, so much for Spring, eh? In a bit of good news, there is little work being done. The only full line closures are on the Jerome Ave (4) and Fulton St (A, C) lines. The only other service changes not related to long-term construction work are on the E (Queens-bound trains via 6 Av/63 St) and N (Coney Island-bound trains run local from 36 St onward). As always, it’s all mapped out for your convenience. Enjoy the weekend.

Weekend of Apr. 12th

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you enjoyed the week, especially today with its nice weather. I’ll keep it brief since I’m in a bit of a rush at the moment. Once again, the 7 isn’t running into Manhattan and the 5 is only going as far north as E 180 St. Work on Lexington Avenue and the Jamaica elevated continues from last week on the 4, 5, 6 and J lines respectively, as well as on the Brighton (Q). Brooklyn-bound F-trains run via 53rd Street and the Cranberry St tunnels. Other disruptions are on Queens Blvd and the Culver Viaduct. The map has all of the details. Enjoy the weekend.

Weekend of April 5th (17 Lines, SIRR Affected)

Good evening folks. Despite the number of subway lines affected, this is a relatively moderate weekend in terms of service changes. The major disruptions are along the following three sections, all of which have no service on them at all this weekend: Jerome Ave (4), Astoria (N) and Fulton St (A, C).

There are several other service changes in place as well though. Manhattan-bound D trains are running on the N line from Coney Island to 36 St. Manhattan-bound F trains are going over the E-line between Roosevelt Av and Rockefeller Center. We’ve also got ongoing work on Queens Blvd, which has Manhattan-bound trains express only along most of the line. There are a few more express runs scattered about, which is detailed on the map. I hope you enjoy the weekend. Click on the link below for the map.
