Yep, the L still isn’t running in Manhattan.

As we close out the month of February, Concourse FASTRACK work, along with the Canarsie closure prep work continues. Here are this week’s service changes:

  • 1 2 – Uptown service is express-only between Chambers St and Times Sq-42 St
  • 4 6 – Downtown service is express-only between 125 Street and Grand Central
  • D – No service between 161 St-Yankee Stadium and 205 Street
  • E – Uptown service runs via M line between W 4 Street and 5 Av-53 St
  • F – All service is local-only in Queens
  • L – No service between Broadway Junction and 8 Avenue

Weekend of Feb 23rd

Good news for Jamaica riders: the J is running its full route this weekend for a change.

Unfortunately, that good news does not carry over to the Canarsie line, which remains mostly closed off again. Here are this weekend’s major service changes:

  • 4 – Reduced service between Burnside Av and Woodlawn
  • 4 6 – Downtown service is express-only between Grand Central and Brooklyn Bridge
  • 5 – Significantly reduced service
  • 7 – No service between Queensboro Plaza and 34 St-Hudson Yards (Sat. only)
  • A C – Uptown service is express-only in Manhattan
  • E – No service between Briarwood and Jamaica Center
  • E F – All service is local-only in Queens
  • F – No service between Church Av and Coney Island
  • L – No service between Broadway Junction and 8 Avenue
  • N – No service between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Blvd

Late Nights – Week of Feb. 20th

  • 2 – No service between Chambers St and Atlantic Av
  • 7 – No service between Queensboro Plaza and 34 St-Hudson Yards (Wed. early morning only)
  • D – No service between 161 St-Yankee Stadium and 205 Street
    • Additional 4 trains will run between Woodlawn and 149 St-Grand Concourse
  • Emultiple diversionsNo service between Briarwood and Jamaica Center
    • Manhattan-bound service is express-only in Queens
    • Uptown trains run via the M line between W 4 Street and 5 Av-53 St
  • L – No service between Broadway Junction and 8 Avenue

This week also marks the beginning of another semi-continuous closure of the Astoria line, this time in part for the rehabilitation project at Astoria Blvd. Here are this weekend’s service changes, most of which run through Monday evening or Tuesday morning, so be mindful of this.

  • 4 – Reduced service between 125 Street and Woodlawn
  • 5 – Severely reduced service
  • E F – All service is local-only in Queens
  • F – No service between Church Av and Coney Island
  • J – No service between Crescent St and Jamaica Center
  • L – No service between Broadway Junction and 8 Avenue
  • N – No service between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Blvd
