The last few weekends have been relatively light in terms of maintenance-related service diversions. That’s not the case this weekend, as there are several major line suspensions and other service changes in effect. See the list below for the full impact:

  • 1 – No service between 96 Street and 242 Street
  • 2 – No service between Gun Hill Rd and 241 Street
  • 2 5 D N Q – Reduced service
  • 6 – Manhattan-bound service is express-only in the Bronx
  • 7 – Flushing-bound service is express-only
  • E R – Manhattan-bound service is express-only in Queens
  • J – No service between Crescent St and Jamaica Center
  • Q – Manhattan-bound service is express-only in Brooklyn
  • R – No service between 36 St/4 Av and 95 Street
    • No overnight service
  • S (Franklin Ave) – No daytime service

Late Nights – Week of May 29th

This week, late night work is on the relatively light side, with only one partial suspension and the rest of the service changes being one-directional express runs. Here’s the list of diversions:

  • 1 2 – Downtown service is express-only between Times Sq-42 St and Chambers St
  • 4 6 – Downtown service is express-only between 125 Street and Grand Central
  • 6 – Manhattan-bound service is express-only in the Bronx
  • Amultiple diversions

    • Downtown service is express-only between 168 Street and 59 St-Columbus Circle

Memorial Day Weekend 2019

It’s Memorial Day weekend, but not even the unofficial start of the summer will stop weekend maintenance work. There are only a few in place due to the holiday, and some of them run through Monday evening, so take a look at the map for the effective times. Here’s the major service changes in place:

  • 2 – No service between Chambers St and Flatbush Av
  • 2 5 – Northern terminal swap between 241 Street and Dyre Av
  • 3 – No weekend service
  • E R – No local service between Queens Plaza and Roosevelt Av
  • J – No service between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Center
  • Q – Coney Island-bound service is express-only in Brooklyn

Late Nights – Week of May 21st

Overnight travel this week should be relatively good as there are only a few major service changes in place:

  • 6 – Split-service operations at 125 Street

    • Queens-bound service is express-only in Brooklyn (Thu., Fri. overnights)

Weekend of May 18th

This may be the weekend of the Brooklyn Half-Marathon, but weekend maintenance work continues. Here’s the worst of them:

  • 3 4 – No service between Utica Av and New Lots Av
  • 6 – No service between Parkchester and 3 Av-138 St
  • 7 – Flushing-bound service is express-only
  • A S – No direct service between Rockaway Blvd and the Rockaways
  • J – No service between Crescent St and Jamaica Center
  • Q – Manhattan-bound service is express-only in Brooklyn
    • Trains also skip Kings Hwy and Church Av
  • SIR – No service between Huguenot and Tottenville
