Memorial Day Weekend

Good evening. As this Monday is Memorial Day, most lines are running normally. However, that is not the case on a few lines, especially on the F and Q lines. This weekend, there are no Q trains running between Atlantic Av and Kings Hwy. Also, service operates in two sections with the main section between Manhattan and Brooklyn running local via the D and N-lines depending on their direction. Coney Island-bound F trains are running via E and C-lines between Roosevelt Av and Jay St. Finally, 5 train service is suspended between E 180 Street and Dyre Av.

Reminder: These service changes run through Tuesday morning unless otherwise stated.

Weekend of May 21st

Good evening. This weekend is not going to be an easy one if you’re trying to go somewhere. Once again, Fix and Fortify work will reroute the A, C and E trains. There is also no 4 train service running in Brooklyn. On the subject of suspensions, there are a few more to deal with. 1 trains are running on a severely truncated route between 137 Street and 14 Street. D trains are not running between Manhattan and Brooklyn. Finally, service is suspended between E 180 Street and Dyre Av.

There are also a few other major service reroutes to contend with, such as the E and F trains running local in Queens and the N trains running over the West End line in both directions.

The map has the details.

Weekend of May 14th

Good evening. It’s a bit of the same, but with a twist here and there. The 1 trains are still not running past 14 Street and the 4 train service is once again suspended in Brooklyn. This is the last weekend where 6 train are cut back to Parkchester. For once, the 5 is running its normal route between Dyre Av and Bowling Green. There’s not even a reduction of service scheduled. On the other side, work on the Culver line will suspend G service between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and Church Av along with F train service south of Church Av. Wrapping up the list of suspensions, the 42nd Street shuttle between Grand Central and Times Square is closed for the weekend. Also, C train service is cut back to 145 Street again.

In terms of other reroutes, Fix and Fortify work once again affects the A, C and E lines crossing the East River. Nothing new there. Manhattan-bound D trains are running via the Sea Beach line in Brooklyn. Finally, be mindful of the express runs. This weekend, the downtown R trains are really take the cake, running express along Queens Blvd, Broadway and 4th Avenue.

Weekend of May 7th

Good evening. This weekend, we have a bit of a reprieve from the usual slew of service disruptions. For once, 4 train service is running between Manhattan and Brooklyn. 1 trains are also running in Lower Manhattan for a change. Don’t celebrate yet though. Service on the 1-line is suspended north of 137 Street. In the Bronx, there is no 5 train service between E 180 Street and Dyre Av, nor are there any 6 trains running north of Parkchester. Finally, service on the Culver line is messed up with absolutely no service south of Church Av and G trains not running south of Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts.

Check out the map for the details on these and the other service changes in effect this weekend.
