Weekend of Aug. 29th

Good evening everyone. We have yet another difficult weekend on the rails. While there are some improvements, a few of the service changes in place last week have carried over to this weekend. The 1 is still not running past 14 Street. There still isn’t any train service between E 180 Street and 149 St-Grand Concourse. A and C trains continue to run via the F-line between W 4 Street and Jay St. Finally, E and F trains will run local along Queens Blvd. Adding to that list, there are no 3 trains running between Utica Av and New Lots Av. Also, shuttle buses are replacing N trains, which are running along the West End line in both directions, between 59 St/4 Av and Stillwell Av.

Rounding out this weekend’s mess, downtown F trains are running on the E-line from Roosevelt Av to Rockefeller Center. We seem to have traded a Culver express for a Brighton express since Manhattan-bound Q trains are running express only between Kings Hwy and Prospect Park.

In a bit of good news, the 5 is once again running for the weekend, even if it is just as the Dyre Ave shuttle. Also, for the 18,000th time this year, M train service has been extended to the Chambers St J-line station. Finally, Rockaway Blvd on the A-line is once again open in both directions.

Weekend of Aug. 22nd

Good evening folks. This weekend’s service disruptions should be familiar. Especially since most have been carried over from last weekend. The 1 is still not running past 14 Street, the 2 trains are replaced by shuttle buses in the Bronx, and 5 train service is completely suspended. The only new suspension of service is on the Staten Island Railway. Shuttle buses are running in lieu of trains between Tompkinsville and St. George. Concerning reroutes, the A and C are still running on the F-line between W 4 Street and Jay St and will continue to do so until the end of the month. Most of the express and local runs from last week are still in effect this weekend. The main exception is on the Brighton line, where there will be normal service for the first time all summer if I’m not mistaken.

Weekend of Aug. 15th

Good afternoon everyone. I hope you enjoyed that slight reprieve from the major service disruptions last weekend. This weekend, we have quite a few big service changes in place. Once again, the 5 is completely suspended and will remain so in some way or another for the next few weekends. Shuttle buses are also replacing train service between E 180 Street and 149 Street-Grand Concourse. The 1 is yet again suspended between 14 Street and South Ferry. Rounding out the list of line suspensions, E trains are rerouted from Jamaica Center to 179 Street with shuttle buses running in their place.

There are also several major reroutes in place as well. A and C trains are running via the F-line in both directions between W 4 Street and Jay St. The D and the N are doing their usual route flip-flop in Brooklyn. Finally, the E and F are running local through the entire span of the Queens Blvd line.

Check out the map for the details, along with the scattered express and local runs.

Weekend of Aug. 8th

Good afternoon everyone. It’s a much better weekend in terms of service disruptions than it has been for the past few weeks. The biggest change in place is on the A and C-lines. Trains will be running on the F-line in both directions between W 4 Street and Jay St. Also, E train service between Jamaica Center and Kew Gardens will be replaced by shuttle buses. Other than that, we have the usual slew of express runs, including those on the 7 and F. Check out the map for the details.
