Weekend of June 27th

Good afternoon everyone. You might want to pay close attention to this week’s map because we have several major disruptions in place this weekend. Let’s take it in order of route, shall we. There will be no 2 or 5 train service running between  E 180 Street and 3 Avenue. Actually, there will be no 5 trains south of E 180 Street. Express and local shuttle buses will provide alternate service in the Bronx. In Brooklyn, shuttle buses will replace 3 and 4 trains between Utica Av and New Lots Av. Speaking of Brooklyn, there will also be a suspension of J and M train service across the Williamsburg Bridge during the daytime hours. Finally, and yes, I’m aware I messed up the order, we get to the biggest service change of the weekend. D train service is completely screwed up this weekend. Trains will run in two sections: the first running local along 8th Ave to 2 Avenue on the F-line, and the second between Stillwell Av and Whitehall St via the R-line.

There are also a few other diversions in place as well. Manhattan-bound F trains are running via 53rd St again and Manhattan-bound N trains are running on the D-line. Check out the map for the details.

Updated Map

PS, Keep in mind that starting this Monday, the Manhattan-bound platforms at Ditmas Av and Avenue X will be closed for renovations.

Enjoy the weekend.

SATURDAY EDIT: The map has been updated to include the express shuttle bus stop at Hunts Point Av on the 6-line.

Weekend of June 20th

Hello everyone. It’s another busy weekend on the rails. First off, there is once again no 5 trains running between E 180 Street and Dyre Av. Also, 1 train service is suspended south of 14 Street. Moving past the service suspensions, there are quite a few reroutes in place as well. The D/N switcheroo in Brooklyn is back in place. All Coney Island-bound trains run via the West End line while Manhattan-bound trains run on the Sea Beach line. Queens-bound F trains are running on the E-line between 5 Avenue and Queens Plaza.

Speaking of the E and F trains, both lines are running local in Queens, so it will be another slow go on Queens Blvd. Rounding out the list of local/express runs, there are a couple of express runs on the C, F, Q and R lines. Check out the map for the details.

Weekend of June 13th

Good (late) afternoon everyone. With all of the festivities in place this weekend, subway service disruptions have been kept to a minimal. There is only one true service disruption that will remain in place on Sunday. All of the other ones end sometime Saturday afternoon or evening. Speaking of which, here are the highlights of the weekend: Coney Island-bound D trains are running on the N-line in Brooklyn, service on Central Park West is primarily local in the downtown direction, and E/F trains are running local in Queens.

In a bit of good news, starting Sunday, J-train service will be extended to Broad St at all times. Also, for another weekend, M trains are running to Chambers St on the J-line.

Check out the maps for the details and times. I created two maps for simplicity’s sake.

Weekend of June 6th

Good evening folks. Since I’m on a tight schedule right now, I’m going to make this brief. The major service disruptions are along the 3, 5, F and M lines. The first two have service suspensions along parts on those lines, the F is rerouted to 8th Ave between Roosevelt Av and Jay St. Finally, M train service is completely suspended through the entire line during the daytime hours.

As always, the map has all of the details. Click on the link for it.
