Late Nights – Week of July 2nd

As this is the week of Independence Day, there is a reduced number of service changes in place. Also, all of this week’s service changes will end on Wednesday morning with normal overnight service in place Wednesday and Thursday nights. With that said, there are a couple of diversions in effect, which are listed below:

  • 2 – No service between 149 St-Grand Concourse and 96 Street
  • 3 – No overnight service
  • 4 6 – Downtown service is express-only between 125 Street and 14 St-Union Sq
  • A – Reduced service between 168 Street and 207 Street
  • E – No service between Briarwood and Jamaica Center
  • N – Brooklyn-bound service runs via Manhattan Bridge
  • Q – Manhattan-bound service runs via R line between DeKalb Av and Canal St
  • R – No service between Atlantic Av and Whitehall St

Weekend of June 29th

With the various Pride-related events taking place this weekend, the MTA is actually increasing service on several lines along the Pride March route this Sunday. To provide additional service, the W will also operate on Sunday. Even the L will see a boost in service, running its pre-restoration project full route for the entire weekend without any short-turns in Brooklyn. With that said, there is still weekend maintenance work in place, disrupting service on several lines. Here’s the list:

  • 3 4 – No service between Utica Av and New Lots Av
  • 6 – No service between Hunts Point Av and 125 Street
  • E R – Manhattan-bound service is express-only in Queens
  • D N – Reduced service
  • M – No service between Essex St and 96 Street
  • N – Coney Is.-bound service runs via D line between 36 St and Coney Island

Reminder: Starting Friday evening, Manhattan-bound 2 trains will bypass Winthrop St until August.

Late Nights – Week of June 25th

This is the last week of the 7th Avenue FASTRACK, but that is not the only major service disruption in place during the overnight hours. Here is the list of service changes:

  • 1 – No service between Dyckman St and 96 Street
  • 4 6 – Downtown service is express-only between Grand Central and Brooklyn Bridge
  • 6 – Split service at 125 Street
  • E – Manhattan-bound service is express-only in Queens
  • N – Manhattan-bound service runs via Manhattan Bridge

It may be the first official weekend of summer, but weekend work stops for nothing. Here’s how service is impacted:

  • 1 – No service between 96 Street and South Ferry
  • 4 5 – All service is local-only in Manhattan
  • 5 – No service between E 180 Street and Dyre Av
  • A C – Outbound service is express-only in Brooklyn
  • D – No service between Bedford Park Blvd and 205 Street
  • E – No service between Briarwood and Jamaica Center
  • E F – All service is local-only in Queens
  • F – Manhattan-bound service is express-only between Avenue X and Smith-9 Sts
  • J – No service between Chambers St and Broad St
  • N – No service between Queensboro Plaza and Ditmars Blvd
  • Q – Manhattan-bound service is express-only between Kings Hwy and Prospect Park

  • A – Queens-bound service is express-only in Brooklyn
  • D – No service between Bedford Park Blvd and 205 Street
  • E – No service between Briarwood and Jamaica Center
  • F – All service is local-only in Queens
  • N – No service between Queensboro Plaza and Times Sq-42 St
