Well, here we are, The day we’ve all been dreading is upon us. This weekend marks the beginning of the Canarsie L Project. While service will continue to run across the river at all times, service between Lorimer St and 8 Avenue will be severely reduced, running only at 20 minute intervals. For easier travel, riders are advised to use the alternate subway and bus routes provided, relying on the L only if absolutely necessary. M14 buses provide crosstown service in Manhattan, while the new Williamsburg Link buses offer connecting service to the M, which will run to/from Manhattan at all times except late nights.
With that said, there are still plenty of other service changes to contend with, the most impactful listed out below:
- 1 – No service between 137 St-City College and 242 Street (Sat. only)
- 4 – Reduced service between Burnside Av and Woodlawn (Sat. only)
- A – No service between Euclid Av and Lefferts Blvd or Howard Beach
- E F – All service is local-only in Queens
- N – All service runs via D line between 36 St/4 Av and Coney Island
- Q – Manhattan-bound service is express-only between Kings Hwy and Prospect Park
- SIR – No service between Huguenot and Tottenville
